Mother’s Day in Woking

Sunday 22nd March 2020

Wondering how to treat your Mother this year for Mother’s Day? Look no further!

So, first thing’s first, when is it? Mother’s Day will be falling on Sunday 22nd March this year.
Now, what to do? There’s plenty of fabulous ways to treat your mother to the fantastic day she deserves. Take a look at a few of our top ideas:

Shopping: If your mother is a shopaholic then Woking town centre is the perfect place to enjoy a nice day out. Woking is filled with over 170 shops and restaurants, including Primark, Debenhams and Pret a Manger. There are also great leisure facilities including six cinema screens and two theatres to add a little vibrant entertainment. Catch a movie, enjoy a show and spend some quality time together.

Try a Show: There are many fabulous shows on throughout the month of March in Woking’s New Victoria Theatre, but on Sunday 22nd March you can take your mother to reveal in the 3-hour, nostalgic extravaganza, “That’ll Be The Day” tribute show. This fantastic stage-show is known as the UK’s No.1 Rock and Roll Variety performance. Perfect for something a little more up-beat!

Culture: Take a day to explore the cultural richness of Woking in The Light Box gallery and museum. Holding host to the permanent exhibition, “Woking’s History”, this display takes you through some of the most important, and no doubt interesting, points of the local history. Then feast your eyes on some of the delightful art displays on show. You can then chill out and enjoy some lunch and tea at the on-site Seasons Café.
