Party in the Park

Saturday 6th July 2019

Put Saturday the 6th of July in your diaries now – this is the date of the 2019 Party in the Park, taking place in Woking Park.

Voted one of the “best, unmissable events” of 2019 by Essential Surrey, Party in the Park is set to be a standout summer event. And not only is it free to all visitors, there is a jam-packed programme for the day.

Looking for some bigname acts? Visit the main stage, sponsored by Eagle Radio, to enjoy a day of live performances from a host of performers. Britain’s Got Talent finalists, Old Men Grooving, Glimmer Theatre’s Cabareilidh and singing sensation Motown Gold Frontline will all take to the stage to entertain the crowds! And in a local twist, The Farleys will return to the park after their debut in 2012 to show off their home-grown talent!

Did you know Party in the Park has its very own official dance partner as well? Dance Woking will have a low-level stage in the Bandstand Field in celebration of its 25th anniversary that will offer supporters of the borough’s community dance groups a more immersive viewing experience. In fact, we might just meet you on the dance floor!

The fun doesn’t stop there though – take your pick from slacklining, or give the new Tokyo 2020 Olympic sport of skateboarding a go. Whether you can kickturn and pop an ollie with the best of them, or this is your first time rolling down a mini-ramp, there will be pros on hand to make you feel like the new Tony Hawkes – and helmets and knee-pads will be provided too.

Want to make some noise? The Sundrum Drumming Circle is just the ticket. Get the party vibe going by making some noise at this high energy music circle.

Bring a picnic for the day or treat yourself at the delicious hot food village.  Whet your whistle after all that singing and dancing with some craft beer and refuel with some local food suppliers.

This year’s event is set to be extra special as it will conclude with a free outdoor screening of hit film, The Greatest Showman!
