to Saturday 1st August 2020
Heath Week is a series of events designed for all ages which celebrate the heathlands and their conservation.
Spanning across Surrey, Hampshire and Berkshire, The Thames Basin Heaths Special Protection Area is one of the most important wildlife sites in Europe.
The swathes of heathland are precious remnants of an ancient landscape, and a haven for wildlife specific to the area. The protection of these areas is essential to the preservation of the diverse local environment.
This year’s events will run from Sunday 26th July – Saturday 1st August, with multiple events across all three counties. From Big Sleep Outs to Guided Insect Walks, it promises to be a week full of educational and family-friendly fun.
Full details of the events can be found here.
