Twelve Thirsty in Christ Church off Jubilee Square
Great value, delicious food and excellent service, this friendly spot serves up top notch tea and coffee inside and out as well as a variety of homemade healthy soups and cakes in an iconic church building off Jubilee Square. Open every day from 8am and from 8.30am on Saturday for breakfast, lunch and brunch, this special place is welcoming and spacious and has a range of vegetarian and vegan options too. Relax and enjoy the atmosphere. The reviews on TripAdvisor are top notch too!


The Lightbox Season’s Café
If coffee, cake and a catchup with friends and family is your thing, look no further than Season’s Café at The Lightbox in Woking Town Centre. With a beautiful canal-side courtyard, it’s the perfect place to unwind at any time, especially after a wander around the gallery. There’s much more than coffee available so if you’re peckish you can lap it up with the ultimate brunch sandwich, an all-day brekkie, a salad or even a risotto from its popular menu. Kids are well catered for too, so everyone’s happy!


Bem Coffee in St John’s
Friendly, relaxed and with great views, Bem Coffee at 9 St John’s Road has the best locally-roasted coffee in town. Wake up properly with its quality range of freshly-ground arabica beans from Brazil and El Salvador. These guys really know their coffee! But not only that, there’s a full daily menu and a great breakfast and lunch range to choose from to keep the energy levels up.


Rose’s Tea Room at Sutton Green Nursery
A popular local haunt, why not take a peek inside Rose’s Tea Room at the family-run Sutton Green Nursery between Woking and Guildford on Whitmore Lane for a vintage, scrumptious experience. You may go for the coffee, tea, hot chocolate, cakes and bakes but you’ll want to stay longer for breakfast and lunch. Eat inside or out, this friendly team loves socialising with everyone, especially dogs! Open every day from 10am to 5pm, you can even all get your garden essentials while you’re there. What’s not to love!


Heather Farm Café
If you’ve not been here already, why not zip over to Heather Farm Café on Chobham Road for a family and dog-friendly experience located right on beautiful Horsell Common. For breakfast, lunch or light bites, cakes and sundries all day, this is a great place to chill out before and after a walk or a run and boasts a big menu including paninis, sandwiches, burgers, jacket potatoes and more. Kids are well catered for too. You’ll be bowled over by the menu and you’ll love its outside space. Open every day from 9am until 5pm.


Taylors at Market Walk and West Byfleet
With two well-known branches at Woking’s Market Walk and near West Byfleet Station, Taylors is at the top of the list for coffee-lovers for miles around. Good prices, a great choice of coffee and light bites served by a friendly team who know what they’re doing, this is one of our top local favourites. For coffee and more, this place is heaven!


Black & White Coffee Co.
You’ll know we love these guys by now and this list wouldn’t be complete without them. Located just inside Wolsey Place Shopping Centre on the way to Sainsbury’s off Middle Walk, this family-run café is a dream for coffee lovers who love quality, choice and a relaxing vibe. Carl, Jack and Jamie opened the business last year with years of experience and already have a dedicated following for their wide range of coffee, cakes, sandwiches and more. Spacious and in a great location, these guys are here all day from 6am! We definitely need coffee at that time!


St Mary’s Coffee Shop in St Mary’s Centre for the Community
Brand new and already a delight with the locals, St Mary’s Garden Cafe is in the heart of Byfleet and makes great coffee and lunchtime meals in this outstanding community centre which caters for everyone. Located in a converted school bursting with character, the new cafe boasts a beautiful outside garden and is already hugely popular with regular visitors and those passing by. Open Tuesday to Friday from 8.45am and on Saturdays from 10am, you’ll enjoy a warm and friendly welcome and its tasty selection of well-price refreshments, cakes, lunch menu – and free WiFi!


Sweet Passion Cakes, West Byfleet
Open again after the summer break every Wednesday to Sunday, this pretty spot on Old Woking Road, Sweet Passion Cakes offers a quality stopover for the best local coffee, homemade cakes and savouries. Famous for its macarons, you’ll love this place for its friendly vibe, spacious season and choice on offer. There’s even a peaceful backyard garden to catch those last summer rays and your four-legged friends are always welcome. Check out their incredible afternoon tea experience on Sundays, but you’ll need to book first to be in with a chance! This place is top notch!


Ivy’s Coffee Shop on Goldworth Road
This charming, spacious café is open weekdays and gets rave reviews for its new brunch menu. However, it’s already a well-known secret among coffee lovers for its big choice ‘proper’ artisan locally-roasted coffee and its great range of cakes and breads. Stylish, independent and friendly, Ivy’s team will also sort you out with a range of specialist and traditional teas, milkshakes and smoothies. Eat in. Takeaway. You decide! But do it soon!
